According to a survey carried out in October 2022, the share of white adult respondents who had bank account in 2022 was 97 percent, two percent higher than in 2015. The share of banked Hispanic and Black households grew by 4 percent in the observed period, while the share of banked Asian households remained the same. Although the ethnicity with the highest bank account penetration was white, mobile banking penetration showed the opposite trend in 2021. When looking at mobile banking usage among different ethnicities, it can be seen that all non-white families reported a higher usage of mobile banking compared to white families.
